A strong amino acid profile
Collagen hydrolyzate in the form of collagen powder contains the important amino acids: glycine, lysine and proline in high concentrations. The unique proportions of these amino acids are specific to the collagen in our body. It is therefore essential that we get these through food or supplementation. Collagen hydrolyzate supplementation can be an excellent choice for several reasons.
Sustainable cod collagen powder
There are several sources for collagen. Pork and bovine collagen are the most common. These forms mainly come from factory farming and intensive livestock farming. Ergomax chooses a different path! Because we only want to offer the best and healthiest collagen, we choose collagen from wild-caught cod: naturally of sustainable origin and processed in a pure way.
Neutral in taste and rich in glycine
Cod Collagen Hydrolyzate is a fine white collagen powder with a neutral taste. The product has undergone an additional processing step, so that the powder mixes easily with liquids and is quickly absorbed. With two tablespoons a day, you can sufficiently supplement your diet with these pure proteins. One of the amino acids commonly found in collagen is glycine. Glycine is semi-essential. This means that the body does not naturally produce enough of this; intake of extra glycine through food is therefore necessary. The body produces about 3 grams per day, but it needs about 10 grams per day for the basic processes.
Collagen in the body
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the world. Of all the proteins in the body, 30% is collagen. This so-called biopolymer is found in all our connective tissue, from the skin and joints to the organs. It is therefore very important to maintain collagen well. Collagen gives the body strength, integrity and structure. Almost everyone benefits from extra collagen intake, but target groups such as athletes and the elderly all the more.
Not just a passive tissue
Collagen is commonly thought to be just a passive tissue with only mechanical properties, but this is incorrect. Collagen also has dielectric and electrical conductivity properties. Because of this, it acts as a kind of communication system that connects the whole body as a cohesive whole. It also plays a role in energy production.
Collagen, a liquid crystal?
Our body renews all collagen every six months. For strong and well-functioning collagen, it is important that you get the right nutrients, exercise in the right way, and above all that you drink enough water. Collagen in the body is a matter that is in shape between a solid crystal and a liquid. It is therefore also known as a 'Liquid Crystalline' or a liquid crystal. It depends on water for proper functioning. Drinking enough water is therefore essential.
